The mission of SCDN Statewide Framework Groups is to strengthen the capacity of New York State school districts in their ability to successfully implement New York State Standards for all students.

This session is designed to address goals 1 and 2 with a special focus on making sure that there are NYS standards-driven models for teaching students to use the arts for expression. The NYS Social-Emotional Learning benchmarks will be infused to enhance and add dimension to the professional learning materials created.

Description: During the May 2021 Math Statewide Framework meeting, group members will work with our NYSED Office of Curriculum and Instruction representatives to take a deep dive into all of the PD Toolkits that are now available from the state. Beginning in May and continuing again on Day 1 of this session, Statewide Framework members will create guidance documents and turnkey materials to ensure all districts will be ready for full implementation of the NGMLS. On Day 2, members will have the opportunity to choose breakout sessions geared towards implementing strong instructional math strategies that support all learners.
