The Statewide Professional Development Framework

**2018-19 Dates are Now Available **

Introduction

Each of the five planning teams have been progressing on the plans for their strand. Invoices are just about ready to go out to the BOCES/Big Cities. All sessions will meet at the Capital Region BOCES facility (900 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Suite 102, Albany). This location is relatively close to all of the typical Wolf Road Hotels. Arrangements have not been made with any particular hotel because we are not using their meeting space. Registration will be facilitated by the Capital Region BOCES (see links below). Each participating (paying) BOCES/city will be able to send two attendees per session.

An initial session for S/CDN representatives and an Arts certified leader/thinking partner is being offered.
This session will better inform S/CDN on the new Standards, as is the intent of all of the Frameworks sessions.  After this day you and your Arts thought partner will have enough information to replicate the day for your area administrators and Arts leaders, but it is not granular enough for teachers (think crosswalks, lesson plans, etc.)

Train the Trainer
This workshop will Raise Awareness and Build Capacity to implement the new New York State Standards in the Arts. Participants will unpack the Standards in the morning and then analyze and apply the Standards to the specific disciplines of  in the afternoon session.
